VINE’s funding comes from a variety of sources including grants, fundraisers, rental fees, service income, VINE Adult Community Center memberships, and proceeds from the VINE Home Thrift Store. Click here to view VINE’s Annual Report>

Your contribution is essential to the organization’s ability to continue to make a positive impact in our community. VINE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and contributions are tax-deductible. We will provide you with a receipt for tax purposes.

Ways to Give

Birthday Fundraisers

Make your birthday even more meaningful. If you simply don’t need more stuff, consider creating a birthday fundraiser on Facebook to benefit VINE. This gives your friends and family the opportunity to give a financial gift to VINE in your honor. Several VINE members and volunteers have already participated in this selfless opportunity and we are so grateful!

Car Washes

Does your vehicle need a good cleaning? VINE is selling car washes from the new Mister Car Wash located in Mankato.
We have two options including the Basic car wash for $10 and the Platinum car wash for $22. A portion of the proceeds will go towards VINE.
The single-use car wash passes can be purchased at the front desk at the VINE Adult Community Center.

Commemorative Bricks

Personalized bricks are a great way to: honor a family member or friend, provide recognition of volunteer service for a group or individual, pay tribute to a loved one or give a gift in recognition of a special event or person. Bricks will be positioned in a place of prominence to be seen by all who visit the VINE Adult Community Center.

Give to the Max Day

Show your support for VINE during Minnesota’s Biggest Day of Giving, November 16!

Each donation enters VINE into the prize pool, so your $10 donation could get VINE $10,000! There are more than 100 chances to win during Give to the Max Day and Early Giving, beginning November 1.

Giving Tuesday

Show your support for VINE on Tuesday, December 3, National Giving Day!
Giving Tuesday is a global day
of giving. All proceeds raised that day will go towards our Birthday Card Program. Each month VINE sends birthday cards to older adults in the community. Often we hear our cards are the only ones some people get. Help us spread joy and cheer throughout the year!

Life Income Plan

A life income plan allows you to make a substantial gift to VINE while providing for personal financial needs. Charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities, charitable lead trusts, and other life income plans offer substantial tax benefits.

Life Insurance

Gifts of life insurance allow you to contribute assets no longer needed for family security. An existing policy can be donated to VINE Faith in Action or the organization can be named as beneficiary.

Matching Gifts

If you are affiliated with a company that has a matching gift program, you may be able to double or triple your gifts to VINE.

MoonDogs Game

Join us for a fun time cheering on the Mankato MoonDogs.
VINE is selling tickets to the game for $16, which includes a voucher for a hot dog, chips and soda. VINE will receive 50% of the proceeds.

Naming Opportunities

For your consideration, VINE Faith in Action presents a variety of naming opportunities and recognition options for the Adult Community Center. Contact Melinda, VINE Executive Director, to discuss how you may leave a legacy through a major contribution.

Pub Bucks

VINE is selling $10 gift certificates for Pub 500 at the front desk of the VINE Adult Community Center with a portion of the proceeds benefiting VINE. These gift cards can be used at Pub 500 located downtown at 500 S. Front St. Mankato.
Grab some friends and enjoy a tasty meal or drink at Pub 500 while supporting VINE or purchase some Pub Bucks to give to your loved ones.

Recognition Opportunities

A recognition wall on the first floor of the building will permanently acknowledge those who contribute to the building fund at the following levels:

Sower $1,000 – $4,999
Nurturer $5,000 – $7,499
VINE Keeper $7,500 – $9,999
Producer $10,000 – $14,999
Fruit Bearer $15,000 – $19,999
Harvester $20,000 – $24,999

Securities & Real Estate

Gifts of appreciating assets, such as securities or real estate, are a popular alternative to cash donations and provide tax benefits.

Thrivent Choice

If you are a member of Thrivent, your policy generates funds you can designate to VINE. These are dollars that don’t come out of your pocket so it’s almost like giving away free money. There are two ways to designate your Thrivent Choice dollars; call Thrivent at (800) 847-4836 or go online at thrivent.com.

Qualified Charitable Distribution from IRA

The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2016 is permanent legislation that allows donors age 70 1/2 to make a tax-free transfer up to $100,000 from their IRA to one or more public charities such as VINE Faith in Action. We encourage you to consult your personal, financial and legal advisors to learn more about this opportunity.

Wills and Codocils

Through charitable bequests, you can make significant gifts not possible during your lifetime and can reduce estate tax burdens. For more information about making a contribution, please contact the VINE Office.
