SOUL WORK
Born into a creative farm family near Mankato, Michelle grew up surrounded by resourcefulness and artistry. Her grandmother transformed recycled felt into handmade blankets, a legacy that continues to inspire Michelle’s work today. After years as a designer, builder and graphic artist, Michelle found her passion in clay, creating unique wheel-thrown and hand-carved cremation urns. More recently, she has woven her love of repurposed materials into “Circle of Life” blankets made from reclaimed wool. Hear about her unique journey and how her experiences surrounding death and art intertwine.
