IOWA TULIP FESTIVALS

Experience a touch of the Netherlands in the Midwest! Each spring, towns like Pella and Orange City, Iowa, celebrate their Dutch heritage with colorful Tulip Festivals featuring parades, wooden shoemakers, traditional costumes, music, dancing, street sweeping ceremonies and delicious Dutch food. Join Linda as she shares highlights from two unforgettable road trips to Iowa’s famous Tulip Festivals. She’ll showcase the fun that was had learning about what makes these events so unique.

MAVERICK FAMILY NURSING SIMULATION CENTER

Learn about MSU-Mankato’s state-of-the-art Maverick Nursing Simulation Center, where future nurses train using cutting-edge technology and lifelike clinical scenarios. Learn how community volunteers bring these simulations to life by playing the roles of patients and family members. Erica will share examples from simulations, describe volunteer opportunities and explain how the next generation of healthcare professionals are training.

ABOUT TEETH: THE FACTS ON FLUORIDE

A healthy smile supports more than just confidence, it plays a key role in overall wellness, nutrition and quality of life. Learn what fluoride is, how it protects teeth and why fluoridated water continues to be important as we age. THE IMPORTANCE OF VOTING WITH THE MN SECRETARY OF STATE

Fitness Center

Our full-service fitness center is non-intimidating and features state-of-the-art strength training equipment. Our exercise equipment is easy to use and reduces stress on your joints. The smart-card technology personalizes your training, while keeping track of your progress. Professional staff and trained volunteers are always available to help.

Travel Opportunities

No matter the weather outside, our cushioned walking track is always the perfect 70 degrees inside, with 360-degree views of the Minnesota River Valley. Research shows that a flat, firm, but not too hard surface is the best for older knees and joints.
