Caring for someone with dementia can be a challenge for both to stay active. Research shows that physical exercise helps caregivers and those diagnosed with dementia sleep better, decreases stress, provides social opportunities and improves mood. Exercise may also slow mental decline and improve self-cares ability. This exercise class for those with cognitive impairment and their caregiver focuses on strength building, flexibility and endurance. Exercises can be done from a chair or standing and modified for all abilities.
