Richard will discuss his latest book, Wise Heart, a memoir of his mother, Gertrude Klugherz Meyer, who lived in Mankato her entire life. The book offers a rich glimpse into local history, with stories of Gert’s experiences growing up during the Great Depression and serving in World War II. Wise Heart captures the spirit of a remarkable woman and the era that shaped her.
